Lovely site

We have just spent 8 nights at this site and you can't fault it apart from one small criticism and that is the gravel on the hard standing pitches. They are ample sized but we had our awning up and there was a lot of large stones as well as small ones in with the gravel that were very noticeable when you stood on them. It was messy too. We have stayed on sites were the gravel is consistent in size and clean. The wardens were very friendly the whole time from the relief wardens on our arrival to the resident ones through out and when we left. The approach is narrow and you have to take care going over the bridge but a big pick up truck arrived to take one van away and he got there OK. The area is ok but not as scenic as the west. We went to Dornoch which is well worth a visit, the buildings are sandy in colour a bit like the Cotswolds. There are some nice shops, some of them are in the old jail and are set in the cells. The dog walk is good and you can get onto the beach with a short walk over the sand dunes. One of the things that we find very annoying and it is on any site and that is dogs that are allowed to bark constantly, we have a dog and she very rarely barks but if she does we stop her straight away, some people stop to talk to each other and just let there dogs keep barking, one couple even left there two dogs in their caravan for a few hours with no ventilation and they were Constantly barking on a warm evening. The warden dealt with it the best he could the site was full but very quiet apart from the dogs. We probably won't go back as we don't wish to visit the area again but it is a nice site
