Good for families

Good but not what its was

Have visited Brora 6 times over the last 5 years and this is the first time I've not marked it as a five! Before anyone says Motorhome bashing I can only report it as I see it. Have just stayed for 13 nights and it's lost some of its sparkle. Brora was always a quiet little gem of a site, majority of people staying 3/4 days minimum - not much traffic, people stopping for an idle chat to while away the hours. Over the 13 nights I'd say most days were at least 90% full if not 100% At a guess 20/30% of campers leaving after one night - more traffic, less chat, less atmosphere 30% of vehicles had the word hire on them and probably explained the onsite speeding and in the cul de sac an interesting approach to reversing in what is a tight area! The sights are it are all textbook Scotland, hills, valleys purple heather and you can never take away from that but may be time to start looking at quiet private sites!

I agree with you, I used to go about once a month and stay for 4 nights, I am going today for the first time this year and only for 2 night as that is all I could get booked.

totally lost its charm

I will see what its like over the next couple of days- but may not be back again and just stop my membership
