We stay at Broomfield for at least two weeks each August, 2016 stay was the max allowed, so we really like the site and the various wardens over the 8 years. I was therefor surprised to read the review 'stay off the grass'. The very high water table in the the area does give rise to just one or two'cones' to protect the central large expanse of very well kept grass from vehicle damage, and it doesn't help when the cones keep getting hit or purposely and repeatedly kicked over. My grandchildren visited as usual and played with others quite freely on the grass, so please don't be put off by this review. The arrival/departures have been changed (at last!) so as to avoid serious blockage in the very narrow approach lane. Departure by 11.00 and arrivals not before 12.30.
