We had to book this site last minute as the CL we were going to use for our overnight stop at the end of March before going to Folkestone, cancelled due to flooding and no electricity due to severe overnight storm. Because of bad road conditions we didn't arrive until after 7 pm, the wardens had not left any notice for us of where to go so we found a pitch drove on and got stuck in the mud. We hooked up to find there was no electric. My husband went to the reception in the morning, the wardens said there was nothing they could do, we'd have to phone a garage, my husband had to ask them for a phone book. Luckily a local garage came to tow us out but when he arrived the warden came over demanding he speak to the man in private and then told him off for entering the site without permission and driving dangerously the wrong way round the one way system. We felt quite embarrassed for him. I often read in the club mag: how helpful and friendly site Wardens are, this was not the impression we got. We'll continue to use CL sites in future.
