Peace and Quiet - with a dog walk off the site.

Stayed here back in July when things were just opening again. Very well run and orderly. We loved being able to take the dog for a walk out of the gate and into the countryside. Agree with last comments - this is like a large CL site. Perfect.

Very quiet spot

Had a good 5 nights on this site that is miles from most things and that could be the problem or not with this site. We use electric bikes so was ok for us to go Geocaching but we did a few miles before we could access the Cuckoo Trail a fantastic old railway line that is now a cycle and footpath. The site staff were very friendly keeping the site in top class condition. With no toilet block its like a giant adults only CL and for us that is great thing. Just wish the club had many more like this and with the present virus still going on a very safe place to be. Club bosses please take note sites like this work all the members we spoke to were very happy and the lower price helps too.

First trip this year, site as good as ever.

We normally stay on this site several times a year as it is only 45 minutes journey. This was our first trip out this year and everything was as good as usual. Everyone was observing the social distancing rules. We have already booked 2 more stays before the end of the season. The new wardens are working hard to keep everyone safe, thankyou. We liked the fact that the gate was left open throughout the day as used to be the case. Over the last couple of years we had not enjoyed having to get in & out of the car to open the gate everytime we entered and exited the site.

A sleepy site

Broomfield Farm is a quiet, sleepy Site . Surrounded by farm land. You need transport to get around , nearest main shops are Heathfield, about 5 miles and Uckfield and Hailsham slightly less. Not a Site for children as no play facilities. Site is lovely when the weather is but we had rain and it was very windy . There are two areas out in the open and in the woods , the wooded is shaded from the sun on a hot day. Wardens kept grass cut and bins emptied when needed. Office closed for safety.

Great site, really enjoyed our stay

This was our first outing after lockdown and our first stay at this site for 20 years, and I’m not sure why we left it so long. The wardens we’re doing a great job in really difficult circumstances with social distancing and so on, and they had got the site in really good condition after weeks of neglect. One niggle is that the directions in the Club book are not accurate, resulting in me meeting a double decker bus on a single lane road so I had to reverse about 250 yards!! Good practice though. Where the directions tell you to turn right after 500 yds signposted Chiddingly, it is only 300 yd’s to the junction and there is no mention of Chiddingly. The signpost is for Graywood.

Comment from Community Manager:

Many thanks for your comments. Please note that any operational concerns can be raised with us as either feedback or a complaint for formal review by contacting the Club directly. We prefer reviews to be about the site rather than any complaints as we get reports from other members to say they don’t find these constructive when looking for a site to stay. As such we have removed the review but please can you email UKSitesBookingService@camc.com and a member of the team will be able to investigate.  Many thanks.

Foreign motorhomes

We enjoyed a lovely week on this site which we visit on several occasions , only for it to be spoilt on our last night. A foreign make Motorhome arrived about 6pm & decided to pitch next to us, but instead of going in forwards so their door was facing the other side, they reversed in therefore their door was facing straight onto us invading on our privacy. They then put their 2 dogs onto the grass verge dividing our pitches & put down food for them. Our 2 dogs had been laying outside quite happy until this time. Our dogs did not bark but obviously wanted to get to their dogs food & would not settle for ages. They were English owners so should know better, had we not been going home the following day we would have complained. I think that on arrival the wardens need to ask this question on foreign make caravans & motorhomes so that they park the correct way. Anyone with any sense would know better but clearly not this couple!!

Wonderful site , brilliant wardens.

I have been caravanning over 20 years . I have mostly meet friendly members over these years. But today I meet the most arrogant member ever , he had a motorhome, and decided he was not going to the motorhome water service point to fill his water tank . Went apparently approach buy the warden , who politely asked him what he was doing as he had gone onto the service point which is for caravans and parked a large , heavy motorhome on the grass , which would leave ruts in the grass. Then proceeded to use pliers to the fitting on the water tap so as to connect to his water supply. He then replied he had done this for the last 30 years . He refused to go to the motorhome point as he considered this to far to drive . He then spoke to other members on site , one of which was shocked at his attitude. Members do not expect this , this site I have been coming to for over 20 years . The wardens are the most helpful, friendly and go the extra mile . I hope the club will back up the wardens should this go further. Brilliant, well maintained site . 5*
