Short stay

Had just 2 nights on this little site based in an old quarry and split into two parts upper and lower areas. Nice to hear the owls at night and site itself is clean and wardens are friendly, we were given a printed map of a very nice walk along the Bromyard Downs which is right opposite the site. We also on Sunday did a very interesting walk on the NT's Brockhampton Estate who let us walk for free. The walk we did took us past a large Sequoia Redwood tree that you normally see in places like Yosemite NP in California. Did not visit the house but the coffee in the tea room was worth having. The jacket spuds looked tasty but had food with us so missed out on them and they were a good price and big LOL. The pitches on site need some work as most are not flat ok for a caravan but not great for us motorhomers, we were lucky as the site was mostly empty and it took us sometime to find a pitch that was ok (5 pitches tried), some even using both wheel ramps was impossible to get level so please C&MC get some more gravel make a few of them a bit bigger at the same time some of them are so small you would struggle to get a small VW type 2 van on them. No drive over grey water drain so this also needs some work doing. Thanks to the wardens for the herb garden. Having had a rant might use site again as the walking is good from site plus bus stop at gates.
