Four Day Weekend Stay

I agree that this is a site set among sport playing and practice pitches so its not, by definition going to be completely peaceful. But that is beyond the control of the Club and the online booking pages warn 'this is a lively site'. Not quite an accurate description. That could be more truthful. My concerns on this site are two fold. These may reflect two negative trends on Club sites - (a) the water in the toilet blocks is not hot enough for a good wash and for a wet shave; (b) what or what is the purpose of spending club income imposing inane 24 hour piped 'pap' music on caravanners? I notice the temperature of water on a number of club sites is only luke warm these days. Why is this? Some have laughable notices saying 'Beware Hot Water'! Hot water is one of the primary reasons I have stayed a Club member for decades but now I'm wondering if its worth it. If the water temp is being turned down to save money its a false economy. If Club costs are rising then the long-overdue answer is the installation of individual electric meters on pitches (increasingly common on Continental sites). That would be environmentally sound and put an end to small caravans subsidising the consumption of the 'bungalows on wheels'. As for the music, who on earth has requested this mind-numbing turn for the worse? Presumably members are paying for the public broadcast rights? Tip - if you are using a Senior Citizen bus pass, you can't do so in Brighton until after 9am. And depending on which authority issued your card, like me, you may not be allowed to use it until after 9.30am!!!
