If you've read our review you'll see that we agree with you - if the top end charges were lowered, perhaps, for staying at this site (until it is brought up to CAMC standards) that may be a start? Such a shame because it is such a lovely area and certain aspects are really good - great dog walk and good wardens (if a little over-zealous with the gardening!). We've come back with damage to our van caused by grass being cut around our pitch while we were still there (we were leaving the following morning) which wouldn't normally have been a problem without the gravel and the tight pitch space! This obviously didn't enhance our stay and we can't believe there haven't been other instances of flying stones. And like your wife, I'd also love to know where the hot showers were that other reviewers found because I seriously never found one that went above tepid!! We also would have left early if we hadn't been visiting family in the area. Back to Charmouth or Putts Corner for us!
