We are relatively local to the site, and have been many times - usually very early in the year, and our last trip of the year. This time we decided to see what the difference was during the peak of the school holidays! We pitched on the new section, it has an open aspect, but obviously as time passes the trees etc that are planted will soften the area. Pitches are flat and a good size, the toilet block was always pristine, although if I’m being honest I prefer the layout of the older one, plus the toilets themselves were primary school height - even in the cubicle adapted for the less able! However for us it wasn’t too bad, although I can imagine that for people who are less able it could be a problem. The team of wardens are fantastic, we saw them helping people so many times over the week. As it was school holiday times there were obviously quite a few children about, but they were well catered for with a lovely safe playground and a field to play football etc on. Needless to see we will be back later in the year.
