Nice Place for all Sorts of Activities
Went to Bridlington as it is one of the few sites open all year. Not disappointed either. A 4-hour drive from Barrow in Furness via M62 (with all the attendant snow on Saddleworth and Rushworth Moors). Nice drive though, especially from Goole up to Bridlington. Sat-nav directions weren't great as we got closer, as it routed us via Flamborough and not Marton. Still, we saw more of the countryside that way??
Site was very clean, and is going to be fairly big once they get all the ongoing works completed. Good luck with that, and we will see the results in August when we return. Local village pub (The Martonian), only 15 mins walk, serves up great food at very affordable prices, with "specials" on nearly every night. Bus stops outside camp gates see busses (510) to Bridlington and Flamborough. Only drawback is that the last bus back from Bridlington is 6.25 pm. That may improve as the holiday season gets underway. A lot of places in Bridlington were closed for the off-season, but should be open for Easter.
All in all, a very pleasant break
