Lovely site but extortionate price

Loved the site - first visit. Clean facilities, helpful staff and excellent cycling. HOWEVER!! How does a club that needs our support, by people, like me, that stuck with them throughout Covid-19 restrictions, get away with charging £10 a night more per pitch because it’s the week before most peoples ‘half term’ week!!! I know I have to pay more for busy times - but £10 a night is ridiculous. This is not the way to keep members - this is the way to alienate members. Is this not a club run for its members and not just a money making opportunity?

I agree with this reviewer - and there are many members on many forums not at all happy with the increases in CAMC site fees - compare the CAMC charges with Camping and Caravanning Club and you will be amazed at what you can save. But is the Club listening?...

I second that. I was just about to book two pitches for my daughter and family and myself and wife until I say the massive jump in price from one week to the next so I looked elsewhere. There are plenty of alternatives. I wonder is it worth paying the membership fees especially as unlike other clubs there were no concessions when we could not use the sites over the covid period.

The excessive prices at all sites are being talked about constantly between members and believe me independent sites will benefit in the long run as members start not renewing. It’s not supposed to be a mass profit making club but I guess the hierarchy are paid well !!
