Large, clean and friendly site

I must disagree with other reviews for this site in reference to "unfriendly wardens". Our experience in July was the opposite. The two wardens we met, a husband and wife team, were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to chat and give helpful information about the area, buses and eateries. I can't give their names as no name badges were worn and if we were introduced, I can't recall their names. I would just like to say that we found them to be lovely - helpful, friendly and professional each time we came across them. They even rang us to see if we were ok as we were delayed on our journey and arrived quite some time after our given arrival time. I wouldn't think they were new wardens either, as they told us they had been there since March 2021. Maybe the poor reviews are for previous wardens? This is quite a large site with good sized pitches and a new facility block. Both facility blocks were spotlessly clean although I can't help thinking CMC missed an opportunity to build the new block with "all-in-one" facilities which are so much easier for many people to use and avoids having to use more than one cubicle - for shaving, showering, etc. Other than that the site is in a good location on a bus route to Brid and Flamborough Head which is useful for 'motor-homers'. Buying the "open top" day ticket is the best value if you want to use the bus for more than one journey and is also accepted on the umber 14 bus too. We had a peaceful stay at this site and would certainly consider it if we were ever to be in the area again.
