Great Site but Expensive
Had 4 nights at this site from August Bank Holiday Monday. 65 left that day so we had a good choice of pitch. Wardens very welcoming. Yes, we were informed how to pitch & the 5mph speed limit was reiterated twice but that was fine with us.
Site of 2 halves but there are pros/cons to both sides. We pitched on the 'original' side but would not have objected to the 'new' side had there only been pitches there. Facilities great - wardens work tirelessly. Playground fab for our 8 year old.
Walk about 1.5 miles to pick the land train up to get into Bridlington. Wardens can give you a simple map that shows you the way & the walk is mainly on pathways (albeit some slim!) & the odd bit you walk is on a wide grass verge.
If you don't want to take the land train, you can walk along the beach or along the cliff top path - beautiful walk. We did both - our lad preferred the land train...We preferred the beach & cliff walk!
Bridlington is typically 'seaside' - plenty for all ages but a couple of hours in the thick of it all is enough for us.
Had a lovely meal at the Martonian Inn - within a mile of the site. Easily walkable. Great value for money & delicious food with a wide choice.
Only gripe is the cost of this site - can only assume the premium price is because the site is 'new'? It does seem to be very pricey compared to some other CAMC sites.
That said though, this is not enough to put us off & we would return to this site again.
