Good for families

Expensive site

£35.50 per night is too expensive for this site no wonder there were spare pitches during our 3night stay all were talking about the price bed and breakfast take your own bed expect pool or at least a club house won’t be going back shame nice site overpriced Suppose it’s a good way to put off families wanting to stay. Glad there’s only 2 of us and no children. Is this a ploy to make the club adult only rich adults that is

Yes and the only thing I know about UK prices is that they are high

Just back from a 91 night trip,  total site fees  £1447 average £15.90 Bladon Chains (included in that total) £24.30 for a basic site .

But we know and expect it ,and it will not get cheaper, but then I do not  tend to try to skew the prices by as you do  quoting long term prices off peak?not in the UK surprised

Why do some people want to attack individuals simply for giving their personal opinions of a site? Westeizak was giving just such an opinion and there is no need for snide comments. I also think that prices on some  club sites are beginning to look expensive and the annual subscription seems to go up by more than RPI every year. As for site reviews I tend to use UK Campsite for these as they seem more objective as far too many club members seem to give any club site 5 stars.

Not realizing  the lack of facilities until after booking doesn't alter the fact that this member thought it expensive. I use a club site in the full knowledge of the rates because its where I want to break a journey and at that point dont want to go far out of our way to save a few pounds but that does not alter my opinion that it is expensive for whats on offer.

I do not for one moment think that the reviewer arrived at the site expecting either pool or clubhouse. Anyone wanting such facilities would have checked that they were available when booking since most sites do not provide such facilities I am pleased to say, or, as there is no penalty, cancelled after looking at facilities.

The reviewer I feel sure booked the site in the full knowledge of facilities and thought it expensive. The dearer club sites for me this year will have been around £26 with most under £25 a night.

We will however be going to Southport in December for a longer stay of 15 nights and I consider that expensive at £31 during most of our stay. I pay it in the knowledge that it is located where I wish to be for a 15 night chill out
