2nd visit to this site

Great location close to Brdlington, Filey, Scarborough, Whitby and the Yorkshire moors.. We stayed for 4 nights over May half term and this was our 2nd visit as we had loved it last October. Lovely peaceful site but disappointing last day. We were ready to leave on the Sunday morning the 6th June at 11 50. I decided I needed to use the facilities before we drove off so I went to the toilet block closest to me. When I went in there was no toilet roll in any of the cubicles which were open to guests due to covid. I hastily walked to the other toilet block on the other field and it was closed due to cleaning so I had to return to my caravan to find some toilet roll. I returned to the toilet block and there was another gentleman in there in the same predicament as I was in, only he was pitched at the far end of the site. Therefore I spared his blushes and gave him some toilet tissue. This is not good enough, Surely if you are going to close a toilet block for cleaning the only other available one should have been checked beforehand. We headed to the gate to leave at 12 10 which yes we know we were late but didn't expect to be shouted at across the road from reception by the lady warden tapping her watch and saying 12 late. We were frankly taken aback and it upset us for the rest of the afternoon. We are both in our 50s and we have been members of the Caravan club since 2011. This is only the 2nd time that we have had an encounter with a disgruntled warden. Needless to say we have never returned to that site since that encounter either. we are not naughty school children and do not expect to be spoken like we are. Dawn and Tim Pickford
