Very spacious site in lovely location

This is an excellent site with only one drawback, which is the proximity of the main roads. However, if as I did, you can get a pitch as far away from the road as possible, it is certainly tolerable. Everything else is spot on. The pitches are spacious and well separated, and manoeuvring around the site is easy, with clear signs. The facilities are excellent with plentiful waste/water stations and two toilet blocks with ample room, although one was closed when I was there, as it was nearly the end of the season. There is a good shop too, with a decent range of foodstuffs and accessories. The staff is very friendly and helpful too. The area is great for all manner of outdoor activities, including hiking and cycling. The highest point in the Brecon Beacons - Pen-y-Fan - is only a few miles away and in fine weather the ascent is spectacular. Cycling is well catered for as one can cycle along the nearby canal in either direction and there are plentiful quiet lanes nearby, although these can be quite hilly. I'd definitely go back. Unfortunately the site is not open all the year round, which is rather surprising, as it would be ideal in the winter months, given the quality of the hard standing pitches.
