Summer visit

We visited the site on first week in July. It helped that the weather was in 30’s all week which helped. Wardens were good and site and facilities were clean The Club shop run by Prima leisure was a bonus on site. Unfortunately an elderly gentleman fell at the toilets and split his head open quite badly. Some members took control , phoned the ambulance ,contacted the wardens and tended him.when the wardens came they took over and couldn’t have done more to help until the arrival of the ambulance, well done wardens. I had an issue with a Motorhome who’s dod was tethered and let to foul the grass between pitches and the final straw came when the dog pooed in front of my car. When we returned from walking one day we returned to find several dog bowls, bones, food all at the entrance to my drivers door. I approached the member and stated that it’s not the dogs fault as they hadn’t exercised it just tied it up.All I got was a shrug of the shoulders so I told him that I would report this to the wardens in morning which I did. The wardens must have had a word as after this the dog was taken to dog walk several times a day. Unfortunately it is the usual member or non member who thinks the rules don’t apply to his dog. It is a lovely site in a superb location and thourghly recommend, wardens were great and in general we had a good holiday.

Dog messing on my pitch also.  Can we have dog owners only pitches keep them all together.  Some pitches too far for dogs to hold it all in before they reach "dog walk" areas.

As stated it’s not the poor dogs fault. Hopefully with the news that the club rules are to be placed in a more prominent position on the web site, more owners will take notice. It would help us all if dogs were walked on the site roads to their exercise area, then when ‘accidents’ occur it’s easier to deal with, and should lead to less complaints

Galaxy - that's a perfect example of why folk are asked to let wardens know of problems in the first instance - it's often the case that once the problem is reported it is quickly resolved.

Ken - as the owner of an old dog now and in the past, that's exactly what we do if we can't pitch close enough to the dog walking. Accidents can, and do, happen but it should never be on the grass areas and certainly not on pitches.
