One of the best… Except!
We have just spent 4 nights on this site. It’s one of the best CAMC sites we’ve been to. The site and it’s facilities were spotlessly clean and the staff were very welcoming and friendly.
There were ample hand sanitising dispensers and signs everywhere asking for face masks to be worn in toilet blocks etc. Just a shame that a lot of people didn’t think that applied to them!
The site has a large play area for children and one of the best, (in fact two), dog walks we’ve found anywhere.
It’s an easy walk, (about 40 minutes), or cycle, into Brecon along the canal and the Three Horseshoes pub is only a 10 minute stroll from the site. The pub doesn’t look much from the outside but it’s lovely inside and the food is excellent. Crickhowell, Talybont on Usk and Abergavenny are in easy reach by car.
The only downside to the site is that it is bounded on two sides by busy roads and so there is road noise which, if like me, you’re not a good sleeper, you might find a problem however don’t be put off; perhaps try some ear plugs because the site is excellent.
