Good base for the Beacons
Excellent all round site. Facilities are first class. Gentle canalside walk/ cycle into Brecon along the canal. A great centre to explore the wonderful Brecon Beacons or the Brecon to Monmouth canal. However if you dont have your own transport the buses though can be spasmodic and non existent on a Sunday, so weekdays are best. A walkers bus circulating around the main walking sites would be ideal.
The sigposted walk to the pub is worth it for the views of PenyFan, Cribyn and Corn Du alone.
