Are children welcome at MCC sites?

We have visited the Brecon site for many years, in fact our daughter was 6 weeks old on her first visit. The site is well kept, the shower block facilities are spotlessly clean and the increase in hard standings has been a positive move for the site. Over the years we've seen the wardens come and go however over the last 2 years we've seen a decline in their friendliness and in particular their attitude towards the children. Unfortunately we have also experienced this negative attitude towards the children from other caravanners. Please remember that this is supposed to be a family friendly site, if you don't like spending your holiday with very well behaved children who know how to respect the facilities, have good manners and respect for their elders which has been engraned in them from an early age then maybe you should work/holiday on adults only sites? The previous wardens have complemented us on our children's behaviour, in fact the did so again when we stayed in Pembrey earlier this year. Its disappointing that this type of attitude is affecting the reputation of a site which was once one of the best around.

Good post, H - everybody should be made to feel welcome on club sites and it's most unfortunate if you feel the fellow members and wardens in particular have made you and your children feel less than welcome. But rest assured you'd be more than welcome to pitch up next to us - the children might even like to take our dogs for a walk! smile
