A little more care needed
Love the area and the site is in a beautiful setting.
We stayed for 5 nights and during that time noticed a few things that didn't make sense considering the large amount of money the club has invested in the site in recent years
The lower toilet block had a badly leaking cistern in one cubicle. About 50 litres an hour I guess was being discharged into the toilet basin. Eight wardens on site and noting was done about it.
On day three of our stay a frustrated member turned the stop valve off in the cistern and put a notice on cubicle wall to say that the ball valve needed to be replaced. All that happened was that the cubicle was closed, no repair carried out by the end of my stay!
The guttering in this new block leaked badly at one point and had been doing do for some time considering the stains on the relatively newly painted external walls. Still leaking when we left
The car park which had 11 visitor spaces, including 2 for disabled, has been reduced to 5 ( including the 2 disabled. The other 5 spaces have been cordoned off as used as a staff car park, despite the fact that there are plenty of other places for staff to park as well as the wardens compounds
There is a ramp with wooden handrail to access the information hut. The handrail has fungus growing on it and the wood is rotting. Maybe an accident waiting to happen
Why are the club letting things like this happen on such a beautiful site when all that's needed is a bit of care and attention
