We have been visiting this site for the last 3 years since we started motor homing, it's just an hour from home but from the moment we check in we are greeted very warmly by the wardens advised which plots are available most have fabulous views of the mountains, the facilities are excellent from the shop to the waste point everything is spotless. It was lovely to see that the birds are also being looked after with feeders by the hedges for nests, this is such a pleasant site & now there's hot baguettes in the morning!! Great walk into Brecon along the canal & a treat at Cariad's cupcake shop to walk back with. Looking forward to returning ?? Thanks to all the wardens for making this site one of the best we have visited.
First visit and certainly won't be our last. From the time we arrived until the time we departed the staff where super friendly and very obliging. Camp shop is well stocked with a range of groceries, beer, wine etc. plus accessories for the van, should you need any?. You have a choice of Red site or green. The red site is a hard standing that has more space, your own water supply, electric and grey water waste.(Green sites has seperate water and grey waste area's) The facilities on site is what you come to expect from CC site, always well maintained, clean and plenty of toilets, showers and wash areas. Site has a children's play area, adventure swings, football field. There is also a children's play barn that is located just off site. Not forgetting if you have a four legged member in your family, they are also looked after with a dog wash area plus a dog walk on grass that goes around in a circle from the site and passes a river, make sure you wear sensible shoes as there are some steep slopes to negotiate. just 10 minutes off the dog walk you will find the 3 horse shoes pub, guest beers, nice food, dog friendly plus beer garden. Walking in the opposite direction towards Brecon (gate off camp site - not far from entrance) cross a busy road onto a tow path that runs alongside a canal. Approx. 2 miles walk passing some lovely scenery you will arrive at the canal boat basin and on the edge of Brecon town. Here you will find some lovely shops, walks, restaurants and pubs. We ate at the Bank pub, great food, guest beer plus they gave our dog her own water bowl with plus doggy treats. Overall you will not be disappointed with the CC site, location, facilities and warm welcome you will receive from the staff. Certainly 5 star rated.
What a cracking site well worth the travel to it even down the dreaded M5 from Cheshire, beautifully kept, best dog walk on the system, three Horseshoes a must visit for a meal. Someone on the reviews said it was dear, we thought it was good value for money, as the saying goes you gets what you pay for. The shop on site was also brill wish other sites followed suit. Last week the weather was better than the med. Lastly really pleasant wardens, not the stallag wardens you get on the odd few, you know the ones l mean no give and take everything to the letter. Well done Brecon for giving us an excellent weeks Holiday
