Brecon a jewel in the crown

What a cracking site well worth the travel to it even down the dreaded M5 from Cheshire, beautifully kept, best dog walk on the system, three Horseshoes a must visit for a meal. Someone on the reviews said it was dear, we thought it was good value for money, as the saying goes you gets what you pay for. The shop on site was also brill wish other sites followed suit. Last week the weather was better than the med. Lastly really pleasant wardens, not the stallag wardens you get on the odd few, you know the ones l mean no give and take everything to the letter. Well done Brecon for giving us an excellent weeks Holiday

Nice Site - Pity about traffic noise

We have visited this site twice & love its location; however, the fully serviced pitches that were available to us on our second visit were only separated from the busy A470 by shrubbery. The traffic noise was really intrusive, annoying and not conducive to a good nights' sleep. We will visit again, but only if non-roadside pitches are available.

Good site but could be so much better

We stayed here recently. The site was easy to find and perfectly placed for exploring Brecon. The facilities are also very clean and new. My only negative is that the hedges and grass needed some attention, if they had been cut more frequently then I feel the site would be significantly improved as it has a lot of potential and just felt a little bit 'scruffy'. However we will be returning as everything else was great.

Great Site

This was our first time at Brecon, all  pitches were a good size. It was handy to have a shop on site which had a good range of supplies. We found the facilities excellent and the Wardens very friendly and helpful. We had a really good meal at the pub near the dog walk. Would recommend a visit to The Showcaves of Wales great for families lots to see there, need to allow a full day to see everything. We alos enjoyed a visit to the Brecon Mountain Centre. Will definitely stay at this site again.

Lovely

This was our first visit to a club site in our newly purchased motorhome. Everything was beautifully maintained and the facilities spotless. The shop was really well equipped. The location was great for exploring the Brecons and we will definitely return, there is so much more to explore!

Fantastic site

This was our first trip to the Brecons, the site was full but incredibly clean and well organised. The wardens were excellent, really helpful and explained where the best pitches where. The surrounding area was stunning and even managed 2 x six mile walks in the beacons. We will be back...

A fantastic site

We have just returned from a great stay at this site. We arrived on a lovely sunny afternoon and were greeted by very friendly wardens who showed us which pitches were free and advised us on the best pitch, they were right. The dog walk is lovely, a loop in peaceful shade with a stream running through it, the dogs loved it as they could cool their paws in the stream. The serviced pitch was great, nice and flat and plenty of room, our waste pipe wasn't long enough but the shop is very well stocked and could supply what we needed. The shop also has fresh pastries every morning at 8:30am. We were very lucky and had 3 days of glorious sunshine during which we visited my brother on his farm nearby and a fun visit to the national showcaves of wales, where my son enjoyed naming all the dinosaurs. We didn't get around to visiting the nearby pub but hope to on our next visit. We hope to visit this great site again soon and I can highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the Brecon Beacons.

Great site Brecon

Report This was our first time here and we are looking forward to going back. The site is very well maintained by friendly wardens. The shower blocks are large, music playing through them and they look as if they are new and spotless. It is either a short drive or a good walk along the canal to Brecon. The caravan site is surrounded with views of the Beacons and the pitches are a good size either grass or hard-standing. There is a mini shop on site and a well stocked with caravan parts . The wardens are always on hand and they have a wealth of information if you need it.We overstayed in error  and it was not a problem for the wardens, most ablidging This is a great place to be and we were really lucky with the weather.

The shower blocks are large, music playing through them and they look as if they are new and spotless. It is either a short drive or a good walk along the canal to Brecon. Lots of parking in Brecon and the Cathedral with it's Zulu Wars history is well worth a visit. The caravan site is surrounded with views of the Beacons and the pitches are a good size either grass or hard-standing. There is a mini shop on site and a well stocked information room. The wardens are always on hand and they have a wealth of information if you need it. We tried the river cruise from the Brecon Basin, first time through locks and over a aquaduct for us, great fun. Good playground there for children, if you park there it is ten pence an hour and just a little walk into Brecon. This is a great place to be and we were really lucky with the weather.
