Brilliant holiday

This site is amazing. Clean, friendly staff and good for dog walks. Brecon easily accessible and a lovely town. Can't wait to go back.

A good balance

We stayed for just under a week. The pitches are in rows but with good space for each pitch. However this meant there was little room for children to play near your pitch unless you were lucky to have unoccupied pitches near you. But this was offset by a fabulous playing field with goalposts and a small play area nearby and a separate adventure trail, so very good. There is a lovely walk along the towpath to Brecon, once you've negotiated the busy dual carriageways. The shop is very well stocked and I found the lady there to be very helpful and friendly. The wardens keep the place spotless. We'd probably return for a weekend visit

Excellent Site and Friendly staff

One of the best sites we have ever stayed at. We just got back from 4 nights at this lovely site. We had booked a Serviced Pitch and it was HUGE! Friendly welcome with biscuits for the dogs. Lots of choice of pitches. Everything was perfect. The toilet block was spotless and they have real showers! Really good shop for picking up essentials. Although busy, it didn't feel loud or busy. The road was a bit noisy but we actually got used to it and didn't really notice it after the first day. Location is perfect for exploring the Brecon Beacons. Dog walk is really lovely and I actually felt the dogs were as welcome here as we were. We will definitely be back next year. Perfect.

Great Easter Break

We had the warmest of welcomes at this site from Julie, one of the lovely wardens. Facilities were squeaky clean and the dog walk was one of the best we've seen. The dog and bike wash was appreciated too. The only down side is the road noise which others have commented upon but the general location is very good. A half hour stroll or 10 min bike ride along the attractive canal along a level gravel towpath takes you to Brecon. The Pilgrims Tearoom is in a quiet oasis in the cathedral grounds, very dog friendly and people friendly. For £20 an hour The Dragonfly company hires out day/picnic boats from the canal basin…..highly recommended. 10 mins walk along a quiet, single track lane takes you to The Three Horse Shoes (dogs allowed in bar but need to book as it gets very busy) but a less expensive option is The Bank in Brecon where dogs are very welcome everywhere. We spent most of our 4 day Easter break here walking in the mountains which form the impressive views to the south of the site. Happy to return to this lovely site.

Great Easter Break

Just returned from a 4 night stay over the easter break, a really nice site very clean and spacious pitches. The toilets and showers are excellent, plenty of hot water and the staff worked hard to keep them clean. The site was full but didn't feel crowded, the wardens are very friendly and helpful. There is a very nice well stocked shop, overall we had a great time and will return soon. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Nice Site

Just back from an Easter Break at Brecon Caravan Club site, we were disappointed. Having read other peoples reviews were excited for our holiday, however came away feeling deflated. The site itself it nice and well kept, however it was felt very crowded to us with not much space between pitches. We have 2 children 11 and 9 and the play area was bordering on appalling, if you want to kick a ball about then it is fantastic, if you want to play on equipment anyone over the age of about 7 has only 1 item to play on, unless you include the one swing. Dog walk is excellent, another play area by the stream is good, but you cannot allow children to use it unsupervised due to being located next to the stream. Facilities were kept nice and clean by the wardens, however unfortunately fellow caravanners were not so considerate when they left muddy footprints in the showers. The squeegee is there for a reason, so please use it.

Spotless site in a great location

This is site is well cared for and placed in a fantastic location. The views are spectacular. Pitches are a good size and toilets and shower facilities are excellent. Local canal is a great access for Brecon town and bike rids to other well known areas such as Talybont, Crickhowell. The staff were all friendly and approachable and had good knowledge of the area. The local pub The Three Horseshoes is dog friendly and has a good range of food. Torch is necessary if returning late. Have visited before and will definitely visit again.
