Peaceful site centrally located in the Cotswolds

We stayed on the site for a week in early October 2017. We selected a hard standing pitch as the warden advised grass pitches were rather damp due to recent rain. The site is very rural and peaceful. The site is very well maintained with lush well kept lawns. The wardens were very helpful and friendly. Long distance views are not available on most pitches as the site is located on the site of the former Notgrove railway station in a cutting. However this was advantageous in October as pitches are sheltered from strong winds. It would have been helpful having signs on the Bourton/Cheltenham road at least 100Metres either side of the entrance as it is easy to miss. The site is located near the charming Cotswold villages of Bourton on the Water and Upper/Lower Slaughter. There are several Interesting National Trust properties within a 20 mile radius. Also Sudeley Castle is an interesting day out (resting place of Katherine Parr). Cheltenham is a 10 mile drive for larger shops and the Everyman Theatre.
