Spent two nights here in September. As motorhomers and dog owners, we like to be able to walk from sites & use public transport. As such, this site is totally unsuitable. The site is situated on the A436 about 5 miles outside Bourton on the Water. The road is far to busy & fast to walk along safely. There is a bus to Bourton but only 3 times a day at 12:15, 14:15 & 16:45 returning at 12:55 & 14:30 allowing a maximum of less than 2 hours in Bourton. We started to walk to Bourton along footpaths a distance of about 7 miles but about half way there it became very muddy so a quick rethink later and we were at The Black Horse at Naunton and then The Hollow Bottom at Guiting Power, both of which we can recommend. The site itself is beautifully maintained & the temporary wardens were lovely and helpful photocopying walks for us. Unfortunately in our opinion it's really only suitable for Caravanners or motorhomers who are prepared to take their motorhome out every day.
