Lovely site

Just spent the bank holiday weekend at Bourton-on-the-Water site, what a gem! So peaceful, lovely views, and lots of wildlife of the animal and bird varieties to watch! We are in the second full year of owning a caravan and up until this weekend have only used sites with toilet/shower blocks and were a bit dubious but the bonus is, sorry families with children, its mostly adults. There were probably 4 or 5 children on the site but there was non of the ball kicking or rampaging around until all hours on bikes and scooters so we could sit in peace and watch the birds or walk the dogs or just sit and snooze! When we arrived we were advised by the warden which pitches would be okay for our caravan as its about 27ft long. Non of the pitches were very far from chemical waste point, fresh water point, grey water point, along with recycling bins and each of these areas were immaculate. We did have plans to go into Bourton but we had such a laid back three days we never left the site except to walk the dogs! And on Monday morning after a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich we packed up to go and on exiting the car park were told by the warden we didn't have to go SO early, my husband and I consulted our watches for the first time and found it was only 10.30 am, that was a surprise, we both thought it was much later. So, to sum up, totally relaxing weekend, can't wait to go again, loved it!!!
