Stayed 2 nights at this beautiful campsite. Unfortunately our sat nav took us in the wrong end of the site so the approach to the site was on a very narrow road and was quite scary in some parts. Lesson learned ,always check your handbook for directions before setting off! Wardens were lovely and helpful and Mike helped us with our TV reception. This is a great site for walks from the site. Through a gate at the end of the campsite will take you to Derwent Water really stunning then at the beginning of the campsite will take you to Cat Bells absolutely stunning views. We also visited Lodore Falls Waterfalls which was lovely also. We only left the campsite once to go for a meal at The Mary Mount which was also lovely. This is a spotless pretty campsite and would return again coming in the right way though.
