One of my favourite sites

We have been here several times over the years with both a caravan and motorhome and thoroughly enjoy it. This time the Honister Pass was closed which meant we couldn't catch the bus to or from the Honister slate mine and Buttermere which curtailed our walking activities a bit. But we were able to take the bus to Seatoller to climb Scafell Pike and Keswick to climb Skidaw. We also did other walks around Borrowdale, Watendlath and the Newlands Valley. I don't know if the Club reads these reviews but if they do it would really be appreciated if proper Wi-Fi could be rolled out as mobile reception is very poor. It would also be appreciated if proper stone hardstandings were used rather than the crushed slate which results in fine bits of slate getting everywhere inside the van. A good vacuum cleaner should be brought. On all our previous trips we saw red squirrels but I'm afraid not this time but we did see a grey squirrel which might be the problem.
