This is probably our favourite site and we can't rate it highly enough. It's situated in woods and has no toilet or shower facilities which suits us as we use our own anyway. Many fantastic walks direct from your van. Abundant wildlife to see. We enjoyed watching Red Squirrels, Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Nuthatches, Treecreepers and all manner of Tits and Finches whilst having breakfast in a morning. Very friendly and helpful wardens. Road down to Borrowdale and through Grange is narrow in places but we just go steady and it's fine.
