Not stayed before but will return. We love the area & this site, even without toilet / shower facilities is a gem. Some pitches have full shade, some more open, so take your pick & great wildlife is visible with birds, red squirrels, hedgehog, pheasants & more. Great walking, cycling from site & the crazy little bus with fab views to buttermere via Honistor if you fancy a change. Good eating places locally. Take supplies as the site doesn’t appear to stock much or anything really. Agree with another reviewer that the managers could have been more friendly - or visible even. The holiday managers were good but lacked some local knowledge, after couple of days the managers returned but I couldn’t say what they looked like. Read the access instructions, come in via Grange only .
