Good for families

Simply the best!

We visited this site for the second time this year and yet again were mesmerised by it's beauty.  We love the area, there are walks and climbs nearby.  There is a bus which passes on the road directly outside the site gates. The wardens are friendly and helpful (a different pair from our first visit).  The setting of the site is within a wood with minimal disruption to the settings and yet with all the facilities you could want from a site (although it does not have wifi or a toilet block), but this suits us just fine.  There are only two downsides to this site (only one of which can be rectified by the Caravan Club). One - the approach road to the site is very narrow in places especially when cars are parked on what is already a narrow road and this should only be attempted by competent towers! And, two - we are distraught that the site is not open all year round as we like to "winter" caravan too and will be returning between Christmas and New Year, but alas, we have had to book on another site nearby. Do yourself a favour and pay a visit!
