Lovely setting but a few issues

We were due to stay at Borrowdale for seven nights. The setting is lovely and the site was kept very clean by the wardens and some of the pitches are spacious. Unfortunately on our arrival and due to the site being full, the only vacant pitches were in the lakeside garden area, which is very congested and tightly packed. Our two berth caravan, porch awning and car only just fitted, anything larger would have struggled and some had to park across the pitch. Being so close to others meant you could hear their conversations, if you took out every third pitch in this area it would give more room and privacy. We appreciate this is a popular area but feel the Caravan Club has lowered their standards which we've come to expect of them. We left after only 4 days due to the cramped conditions in this area. We could not fault the Wardens they made sure all the bin handles, taps etc were wiped down meeting Covid guidelines and the site was kept very clean. Very stunning setting but spoilt by the cramped pitches in some areas.
