This is our third stay at borrowdale. The peace and tranquility along with the most beautiful woodland walks alongside Derwentwater are spectacular. We have been so lucky to have had encounters with both red squirrels and roe deer’s. This site is for people who want explore the area by walking Cat bells is a great circular walk from the site as is the walk around Derwentwater. Lots of stops for refreshments along the way. If you are ok with no toilets and shower block, but love walking and nature this is a site you have to visit. The management team are so helpful and knowledgeable, they are a great team.
