Just had four days in Borrowdale. The wardens managed to supply us with glorious weather which is a major plus. This site is in a fantastic position for all kinds of walks, from easy to strenuous, and must have one of the best dogwalks - straight out of the site into the woods. It will not suit everyone as there are no toilets and no playground area, but we didn't feel these were a major problem. For lovers of the lakes we would thoroughly recommend this site, but remember Borrowdale has the highest rainfall in the lakes so don't forget the waterproofs!!
