Approach road very narrow but this is stated in the handbook, and directions to site on the website and app. When arriving you are able to choose your own pitch straight away and come back later to pay. The walk off site takes you directly down to Derwentwater - approx 200 yards of easy walk. You then have access to the many footpaths leading you around Derwentwater so going exploring is easy. Great for dogs due to the amount of walks. The tranquility of the site is amazing - can’t hear anything at night except the owls in the trees above the caravan. My only improvement would be some cleaning of the communal areas as the floors were quite slippy in all the rain. Wardens were friendly - always said hello, and were helpful.
