This site was in a beautiful location. Perfect for walks into the Borrowdale valley or up around Derwentwater into Keswick. As a family with two small children we missed a shower block but knew before arriving there wouldn't be one. But we managed in our caravan for a short break. There is nowhere to walk to at night for a drink other than the Lodore Falls or Borrowdale Hotel and we felt a little underdressed for both of these. Athough we were welcomed in the Lodore Falls and Borrowdale Gates . The staff in the Borrowdale Gates were particularly friendly. Just two little cafes in Grange itself no pub! But for a short peaceful break in a beautiful location I can recommend it thoroughly. Our warden was also very helpful and friendly. My children also loved her dog Reggie...
