June 2024 Stay

This was our first stay in a Club site and will probably be our last. You are met with a barrage of signs, do this don't do that etc. all what had been specified in booking communications. Good size level pitch with clean gravel although power supply was on the next pitch, the TV connection was even further away. There is no TV signal. I have a lead but would not reach the post (never had this problem before and my connection was on the side of the post. When mentioned this to the warden was told I could buy one for £20 (prehaps loaning or hiring might be more customer friendly). Very little mobile phone signal and the 'free wifi' was restricted making it virtualy unusable (when it was available). The amenities block was cleaned once a day and had very little ventilation/extraction so never dried and became dirty with use during the day with a lot of flys/midges round the showers. When cleaners clean the toilets they need to close the toilet door and look at the back of them, there were cobwebs there for the duration of our stay. The amenities are 'cleaned' from 10:30 to 12:00, the last leaving time is 11:00 so when all packed ready to go you cannot use them and wash your hands before leaving-very poor planning. It is not a quiet and peaceful site being next to a school with children that played out a lot and on the flightpath from Leeds Bradford airport. During our stop there was a dog that consistently barked (even when owner was talking to a warden) but nobody took any action over this. We were very dissapointed with this site and consider it one of the worst we have stopped at.
