I put that heading because when we were first caravaning a fair few years ago we used to have bit of a laugh at some of the comments about sites in what was then the CC magazine! The moany ones always had 'why oh why' within the monologue usually about size of pitch...lack of loo paper...noisy neighbours! We are back to touring now as we want to get around Britain and with 3 dogs it's easier to take the bedroom with you! I'm glad to see some moaners are still around...I'd hate that tradition to die off! Anyway THIS site is perfect...the staff were unobtrusive and hardworking...the place was spotless! We stayed from 29 July to 3 August. This is only our second trip out..the first was to Blackshaw site and I thought that was excellent as well! Don't come here if you don't like leaves,trees, dogs or walking. Thankfully it suited us! I should also mention that the dog walk was clean and I'm so pleased that my fellow dog owners clean up after them! I hope this continues as there are many dog haters out there There was no mess on any other part of the grounds either. My dogs loved it! We'll be back asap! I can't WAIT to go away again beginning of September. The sites just keep getting better! One complaint...I remember when campers would have a conversation with each other...it seems some prefer not to which is fine but if I might propose a reason for this is many don't stay long enough on site! It's a particular issue with motorhomes I think. They come they park they go! Barely even see the driver let alone say hello to anyone! Anyway I had a loveley chat with some of the children on site who came and sat with our dogs! Lovely little people they were and we had a good natter!
