I have to admit it has been a long time since I had visited Bolton Abbey and following the passing of my father I needed to get away for the weekend away from everything and the site did not fail to surprise me, from the lovely wardens when we arrived to the cleanliness and general condition of the site being first class, spotless toilet block and luckily enough very good weather, the access to the abbey and walks is amazing as having a dog that requires a considerable amount of exercise we could not ask for more, all the grounds at the doorstep and only 8 miles from Skipton its far enough away from civilisation without being too far looking forward to more stays there in the coming year
