We had a one night stay last weekend with the aim of testing out a few new bits on our van prior to a longer trip starting this weekend. It is a lovely site with a warm welcome from the warden even though we arrived after 5pm. The site is quiet and well maintained and the shower block was clean and warm. Although it rained (and rained) on the Saturday we parked at the Strid car park and had a cycle ride around the estate. The cost was £8 which was okay given that we have a motorhome and would have been welcome to stay all day. The £8 ticket entitles you to move between and park in any of the three car parks within the Abbey estate. Certainly we shall be back at this site for a longer stay.
