Most of the site is under deep shade all day from mature trees. The bottom end of the site was like a sink housing estate with children and dogs running wild. Caravans on the upper site were surrounded by detritus and would be at home on a traveller's site. The toilet block is dated and wholly inadequate with just 4 small shower cubicles in the men's facility but rows of cubicles with wash basins. It dates back to when British men bathed once a week! The warden is the most dour I have encountered which probably explains the state of the site.
