Autumn break
Bolton Abbey site is perfectly situated for visiting Skipton, Grassington, Harrogate etc. It's easy to find.... but no-one warns you about the narrow arch just after leaving Bolton Abbey which you have to pass through to reach the site!!! There are lovely walks, mostly along the river in both directions; but its worth venturing further afield for glorious walking in every direction. The site is blissfully quiet except for the inevitable yappy dog. It is quite shrouded by trees, so its worth finding a sunny pitch if you can. Showers are clean but a bit on the small side! Lovely helpful wardens. Thanks for a good stay.
