Just stayed for 5 nights. The site is really well kept, clean and spacious. The site benefits from being tiered and so feels small. We had a pitch at the top of the site with a great view of the rocky outcrop of Hen Cloud. The wardens work hard to keep the site clean and tidy. It is a credit to them. As it is close to the main Leek to Buxton road there is some road noise as might be expected but at the top of the site it is not intrusive. The road has the advantage of easy access to the local area. Leek is only a few minutes away as is Tittiesworth reservoir. This is a great location for exploring the Staffordshire moorlands. There is excellent walking from the site. The area around the Roaches and Ramshaw Rocks can be explored from the site by walking down the road a short distance to Upper Hulme.
