First visit to Blackshaw Moor & it won't be our last. Wardens friendly & site in lovely condition, toilet blocks spotlessly clean. Good walks in area, especially from the site to The Roaches & Hen Cloud, which give excellent views of the area. A walk following public footpaths through fields takes you into Leek in about 1.5 hours. Buxton 20mins by car. Cannot comment on TV reception as always use satellite dish when on site. However on top level of site, nobody complained about TV reception to my knowledge. Two pubs within easy walking distance, prefer The Rock myself as The Three Horseshoes staff were not very welcoming and the food did not inspire. There are several good pubs in the centre of Leek, but public transport is not very good, about 4/5 buses per day. The last bus back to the site leaves leek at 16.23!! Overall a very nice few days in the Peak area.
