Needs a lot of effort put in
One night stopover heading for the Lakes, via Lyme House. We found it easily enough, and checked in. We did not like dealing through a partly open office window to book in. We pitched on the upper level near the closed facility block, which was quieter.
We did not think the club allowed camping, but there was a large group allowed near the entrance, who also had children cycling around the lower area. Also there also seemed to be facility bands on the toilet hooks almost constantly, so as to “reserve”a toilet for maybe the same group.
The site was unkempt, with hedges not being trimmed, allowing bramble suckers to cross pathways dangerously.
Best part was the excellent local pub, with the best steak and ale pie I have had in a long time.
We will only use this site as a last resort.....pity, as it could be good, in a great position.
Pay the money out Caravan Club.....you need to make this one better
