We had read about the site at Blackshaw Moor and were looking forward to visiting. Finally got there at the end of a tour of the Peak District in August and we were not disappointed. It is a lovely site in a great location amongst stunning scenery. The wardens were very welcoming, enthusiastic and helpful and clearly take a pride in their site and facilities. Good sized hardstanding pitches neatly laid out on level terracing. The site is off the main Leek/Buxton road but we were towards the back of the site and not aware of any traffic noise. Our approach to the site from Hartington and Manifold value was chosen by our satnav and was particularly scenic and 'interesting'. No problem to us with a small Motorhome but those with bigger outfits might want to study their route carefully. Great site ... look forward to staying there again.
