This site is not too far from home for us so a great choice for a weekend break. We had a lovely friendly welcome and the wardens are really helpful with any queries on the local area. We had a pitch towards the back of the site and had a lovely view of Hen Cloud - yes there is road noise but to be honest it didn't bother us and we slept really soundly. The site was full but never felt crowded and the facilities were immaculate. We walked to Tittesworth Reservoir and then over fields and up and over Hen Cloud - we found The Roaches tea rooms on our way back to the campsite which is worth a visit. Top marks for the dog wash back at the campsite after a muddy walk - our dog loved it ! He also loved the dog walk - the wardens are in process of renovating with bark chips so in parts this was mud free and will be a lovely when finished. As so close to home I'm sure we will return in the future.
