We arrived on Friday evening and the only pitches available where backing on to the main road. Just as we'd finished pitching up there was a power cut which lasted a couple of hours and site was in complete darkness. We were woken up very early due to the traffic noise from the road. Luckily we spotted a Motorhome leaving early and so we moved pitch. Our 2nd pitch was on the top terrace and although we could still here the road noise it wasn't intrusive. Pitches are large with hedge screening and there was a toilet block on the top terrace as well as at reception. The Wardens were very friendly too. We walked from the site over Hen Cloud and the Roaches as the weather was lovely. We will definitely return but hopefully we will arrive earlier and not get a pitch by the road next time.
