First time back for a long time
Visited June 2017. We had not used his site for many years and were pleasantly surprised by it. It is terraced up the side of a hill and is generally green and pleasant although a lot of pitches have no grass around them which we avoided. There is some road noise at the bottom of the site but the road is not overly busy and it was not a problem for us. There are three good size supermarkets in Leek so food is not a problem although Leek itself did not appear particularly attractive. The site is a good spot for touring that side of the Peak district and for pottery lovers who will find plenty to do in Stoke, although the city has certainly suffered a downturn in that trade. Wedgewood is a must though and the factory shops have some real bargains. The wardens were particularly friendly and helpful.
