We recently purchased our first caravan and decided to take a trip to Blackshaw Moor Club Site. This site was about an hour and 30 mins away from our house so I could get some towing experience on the way. The welcome we received on arrival was fantastic so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us especially knowing we were newbies. The site is split in three levels all on gravel and all level which for newbies like us was fantastic as we didn’t have any issues leveling off our van. The facilities on site are great lots of access to water and waste as well as a dog wash for muddy paws. There is a small shop on site that sells basic essentials. TV hook up is also on each pitch so if you have a long lead you can plug your TV directly into the sites arial for great reception. The toilet blocks and showers were spotless and had everything we needed. We also discovered a washing up area indoors with three large sinks. If all of the caravan club sites are like this then our caravaning can only get better.
